Dr. Roger Young (Cawthron) recently provided TRC advice on continuous dissolved oxygen (DO) monitoring and how apply the ecosystem metabolism attribute. Roger provided guidance on recommended:
- Sampling sites
- Place of Monitroing equiptment
- Sampling frequency and durations;
- Usage of sensors with wipers;
- Requirements for average reach depth measurement; and,
- Calculation of ecosystem metabolism.
Additionally, Roger also provided advice on the interpretation of ecosystem metabolism results and potential attribute bands.
