About this resource
Tukituki Land Care (TLC) sought advice on how to control the spread of cow cress in their catchment. Associate Professor Ranvir Sigh and Professor Ian Fuller (Massey University) undertook a field visit, catchment data analysis, and workshop to produce a guidance document addressing cow cress, nutrient loss, and erosion. Ranvir and Ian also collated and analysed relevant catchment geographical and water quality data to inform their assessment and develop recommendations for the catchment group, including:
- Flow data
- Digital Elevation Models (DEM)
- Geographical data (soil type, land use, flow pathways)
- Water quality data.
